Bua Berg

"Learning never exhausts the mind”   Leonardo da Vinci

Bua’s Fine Arts was founded by Bua Berg shortly after she immigrated to the United States from her native homeland of Thailand. The quote above holds significant meaning in Bua’s life journey and is attributed to one of her most revered and admired artists. In addition to drawing inspiration from the works of Leonardo da Vinci, she also extensively studied the paintings of John William Waterhouse. By immersing herself in the classical and academic styles, Bua was able to develop her own unique technique, which set her on an ongoing path of continuous learning and artistic growth. Later in her career, Bua expanded her horizons by exploring and practicing contemporary painting methods. Through this exploration, she discovered that contemporary art often does not require literal representation but can simply exist to highlight its own intrinsic values and emotions. Bua believes that art is deeply embedded within humankind, both spiritually and culturally. With passion and dedication, she employs her diverse artistic skills to bring her own creative visions to life, as well as those of her clients, across a wide range of surfaces, including canvas, fabric, and everyday objects such as coffee mugs, coasters, and more. Beyond these mediums, Bua also actively explores photography, design, illustration, drawing, ceramics, and mosaics as complementary forms of artistic expression, allowing her to further showcase and expand her broad and versatile artistic talents.

Experience & Education

Bua earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art and Design, with a specialized focus on painting, from Pacific Lutheran University located in Washington. This education provided a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of fine arts.

As an art student, Bua visited the British Museum in England in 2020 and saw the Standard of Ur, an important Sumerian artifact from the third millennium BC.

Bua has proudly earned a comprehensive Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a specific and dedicated focus on Business Computers, from Kasem Bundit University, which is a well-regarded institution situated in the bustling and vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand. This achievement reflects Bua's commitment to academic excellence and a keen interest in the intersection of business and technology.

HOLISTIC INSPIRATIONS

Early in life, Bua competed in drawing and painting contests, winning several awards and recognitions.  From there, she pursued her passion - intertwining many different paths to feed a holistic experience. Before leaving Thailand, Bua worked in an office environment. She reflected on what brought her colleagues calming experiences from the demands of work. For instance, listening to music, sipping drinks, and painting, or treating their bodies and minds with spa excursions or yoga classes. Furthermore, she discovered having beautiful artwork hanging on the walls, or at home, would help to soothe their mind, eyes, and complete their day well. Another inspiration followed soon after Bua moved to the US, when she was introduced to hot yoga. She enjoyed what the practice did for her mind and body connection and prompted her to become certified in several forms of yoga as well as teaching others. Her formal artistic training began in 2018 at Pierce College where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Art. She then enrolled at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) and declared painting as her focus. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and earned Cum laude honors. Bua’s complementary art, yoga, and business backgrounds have been built over time and continue to shape her personally and professionally.  They allow her to attentively work with her clients to shine a light on their thoughts and ideas. She marries those thoughts together and composes them within the work of art she creates. Bua’s Fine Arts is based in Prescott Valley, AZ USA.

Testimonials

“In 2021, I commissioned Bua to do a painting for us. She had taken an awesome photograph of our family at a car show some time before. I loved the photograph but wanted a portrait made for our home. The photo was a classic moment for us enjoying time together and captured our beloved Sam, our golden retriever, behaving in a way that he always did. Since that time, we have lost him from our day to day lives. I cherish this painting because it perfectly depicts one of our happiest moments as simple as it was. I would highly recommend working with Bua as she is a skilled artist. You can see in her work that she uses her heart and her mind to create beautifully.”
